About Boroli 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo '1661'
The Langhe Nebbiolo is the pure expression of Nebbiolo: a fresh wine that conveys all the distinctive characteristics of the variety: fresh and pulpy fruit, intensity, and drinkability. A fun and convivial wine, to be enjoyed with friends while discovering a great grape variety expressed in its purest form.
The number on the label, 1661, in red, is a tribute to the farmers who have been cultivating the vineyards around the cellar for more than 4 centuries. It’s the date of a cadastral document that certifies Brunella as an area dedicated to the production of high-quality grapes for exceptional wines.
The Langhe Nebbiolo 1661 is born from a selection of Nebbiolo grapes that grow with a north-facing exposure.This is complemented by a selection of grapes from the younger rows. The harvest is done manually, and the selection of the clusters takes place on a sorting table. Cryomaceration is carried out for 24/48 hours. Subsequently, fermentation and maceration occur in steel, followed by a few months of aging in oak barrels.
Bright red color. The scent is fresh and fruity, with notes of wild berries. On the palate tannins are velvety, harmonious and balanced.
