Tapestry Reserve was created so that Beaulieu Vineyards, with their prime Napa
Estate vineyard land could produce a world class Cabernet-based Bordeaux
blend. The winemaking team now consists of Jeffrey Stambor with
Consulting Enologist Michel Rolland and they have been making amazing
strides. Grapes are sourced from throughout the valley, primarily
Rutherford and the balance from the Stags Leap District, St. Helena and
Calistoga AVAs. This 2014 is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 4% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc aged 20 months French, Hungarian and American oak (60% new).
James Suckling scored this 95 points saying "Perhaps the best Tapestry ever made with currant, chocolate and berry
aromas and flavors. Full body, layered and rich with a wonderful depth
and generosity yet always focused and poised. Better in 2019 but already
delicious."
