About Chablis Premier Cru, Cote De Lechet 2014 La Chablisienne
La Chablisienne is a winery group of nearly 300 winegrowers producing the great white wines of Chablis. These wines reflect the utmost care these winegrowers devoted to the cultivation of their vineyards and the commitment the winemakers bring to revealing the heart and soul of the terroir. It is this subtle harmony between the grower in the vineyards, the technical advisor and the winemaker which bestows on these wines their much sought-after distinction. This wine is from the Premier Cru Cote De Lechet vineyard on the left bank of the Serein, in the villages of Milly and Chablis with ideal South-Eastern exposure. Vines average 25 years of age, the wine aged 12 months on fine lees, in tanks and barrels. Decanter Magazine gave this 95 points and a Platinum Medal, designating it the "Best Chablis" in their World Wine Awards. They said "Flowers with a bit of lemon curd on the nose, giving way to a lively palate with white flowers, herbs and a fine-grained mineral seam running through to the racy, spicy finish." An incredible value!
