Château Gaudin is located in the Médoc region, more precisely in Pauillac in Gironde. This vineyard benefits from a very privileged location, it is located on the gravelly hilltops of the village of Saint-Lambert, which are shared with the prestigious, world-famous vineyards. The exceptional lands are classified as appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC). The gravel which constitutes them provides good drainage of the soil and allows the accumulated heat to be released, thus filling the fruits with sunshine.
This wine is a blend of merlot and cabernet sauvignon that is matured in oak casks for around 18 months. It creates a splendidly tannic expression – ideal to enjoy with rich meats and cheeses, or to pop away in the cellar for a few more years.
Wine Enthusiast scored this 91 points saying "A finely perfumed wine that has touches of mint aromas and new wood flavors. It has a polished feel to it, ripe with black currants and light spice. Drink this well balanced wine from 2024."
