The Chateau Haut Gravet is located at the foot of the hill of Saint-Emilion, alongside many of the best properties of the appellation. It's 30 acres of vines average 40 years of age and the gravel and clay-limestone soils allow the vine roots to reach deep into the earth for minerals.
For over 20 years, Alain Aubert and his wife Bernadette have applied traditional methods at Haut Gravet producing superb wines. This wine from the outstanding 2015 vintage is a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 12-18 months in 60-80% new French oak barrels on the lees.
Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 93 points saying "This estate is the pride of the Aubert family, which owns 600 acres on the right bank of Bordeaux. It is juicy with blackberry fruit, rich with tannins and dense with a firm structure. The wine is set for a long aging, so don't touch it before 2023." On Sale!!!
