Marie-Christine, the daughter of Henri Ducourt, purchased this prestigious left-bank property in 1979, which lies on the border of the Graves appellation. The 114 acre vineyard was rapidly replanted and the chateau building, which dates from 1348, was restored.
This wine is 51% Merlot and 49% Cabernet Sauvignon fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks macerating for 3 weeks then ageing in oak for 12 months. This 2016 was awarded a Gold Medal in the Concours Gilbert et Gaillard 2018. They said "Beautiful deep ruby color. Pleasant fruity nose, woody touch and discreet liquorice. In the mouth a firm attack, a wine both structured and supple. We love the finish that marries power, freshness and expression."
