The vineyards of Chateau Tour Haut Vignoble border the Atlantic ocean and Gironde river. Vineyard age is 190 years, and the average age of vines is 36 years. The vineyards are composed of deep gravels and clayey-calcareous soil. Traditional cold pre-fermenting maceration occurs as well as numerous pumping over in order to get deep color and to conduct better alcoholic fermentation. Vinified and aged separately by grape varieties (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot) and by plots. Physical tangential filtration.
The wine is produced in a sustainable manner and sees 12 months of oak and then 2 years of bottle aging.
