Winemaker Georgetta Dane earned her master's degree in Romania and then worked for Kendall Jackson, where she Honed her enological skills. Today, she is the winemaker for the Chloe Wine Collection, where she marries her old world European roots with contemporary American winemaking which she shows off with great success with this Monterey County Pinot Noir which shows complex layers of flavor in a restrained and elegant style. It just scored 92 points, "Excellent, Highly Recommended" in the Ultimate Wine Challenge. They said "Opens with gobs of cherries and ripe strawberries with a whiff of purple flowers. On the palate, its more juicy red fruit, a note of polished leather, and a hint of lead pencil shavings. Well structured and elegant."
