About Chateau Cazauviel 2017 Margaux

In 1978, Régis Bernaleau inherited Château Cazauviel, a small estate in the Margaux appellation run by the owners of Chateau Haut Brion, from his father. The vineyard, whose terroir comprises of gravel from the Quarternary period, is located on the Arsac Plateau, near Château Giscours and Château du Tertre. 65% Cabernet Sauvignon 35% Merlot, 18 months in French oak, 60% new.

Deep and intense reddish-black, blackcurrant, spicy and vanilla aromas. Well-balanced on the palate featuring round, delicious and silky tannins, long aftertaste featuring toasty overtones and a surprising freshness.
