2021 marks the 20th vintage of Cloudline, a wine that has earned a reputation for high value and high quality. All of the grapes are sourced from low-yield vineyards in Oregon’s famed Willamette Valley, 25% comes from the famous Roserock Vineyard of Domaine Drouhin fame.
2021 was very good vintage in the Willamette Valley. The vines remained healthy, and as temperatures cooled in mid-September, harvest was able to stretch out over three smooth weeks, ending in early October delivering grapes with complex flavors, incredible balance, and layers of elegance.
This lovely Pinot Noir shows a lustrous garnet color and aromatics of summery red cherry, red plum, and light warm spice characters leap from the glass.
