Grapes for this beautiful New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc come from the lower terrace of the estate's Te Muna Road Vineyard in Martinborough. This wine is sourced exclusively from several parcels of vines growing on a stony, limestone influenced soil adjacent to the Huangarua River. Intervention in the cellar is minimal out of care and respect for the characters of the vineyard, resulting in a wine with a distinctive fine, soft, chalky texture and great elegance.
James Suckling scored this 93 points saying "This has such attractive, pungent and intense passion-fruit, lime and gooseberry aromas. Very pure on the palate with fresh, zesty lime and passion-fruit flavors. On good form here."
Wine Spectator scored this 92 points saying "Offers incredible depth and complexity, with fleshy notes of ripe Crenshaw melon, apricot and pineapple mingling with accents of candied ginger and lemon verbena on the finish, showing a touch of dried fennel."
The Wine Advocate scored this 91 points saying "The latest vintage of Craggy Range's popular 2020 Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc offers grassy, lime-scented aromas backed by plenty of grapefruit, hints of nectarine and even the suggestion of fig or guava. It's medium-bodied and subtly textural on the palate, finishing long, crisp and silky—probably the best vintage of this wine I can remember."
