About Domini Veneti 2019 Amarone Classico
It was 1989 when Cantina Valpolicella Negrar, a historic Veronese winery founded in 1933, decided to start a complex Quality Project through the identification of some particularly suitable areas of Valpolicella Classica. The choice to focus on improving the quality of carefully selected grapes gives rise to the new Domìni Veneti line, which has become a line of distinction for the production excellence not only of DOCG and DOC Valpolicella Classica, but also of other fine Veronese wines.
The blend here is Corvina 60%, Corvinone 15%, Rondinella 15%, other varieties as per DOCG regulations 10%
Winemaker Notes
Domini Veneti Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is the absolute expression of the balance between elegance and structure. It is produced with grapes grown in the Valpolicella Classica area and left in drying rooms, then aged in large oak barrels for at least 18 months and in bottles for another 6-8 months. In a word, it is a satisfying wine: it satisfies the eye with its dense, compact garnet-red color. It satisfies the nose with an intense fruity aroma. And of course, it satisfies the palate that loves intense flavors.
Serve with grilled meat, braised meat, game and aged cheeses.
Previous vintages have received 94 Pt Scores and several medals. This vintage has not yet been rated, but we think it is even better than previous vintages!
