The first wines bearing the Ferrari-Carano label were released in 1987. In 2015, Ferrari-Carano’s 24 vineyards earned California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance (CSWA) certification, becoming a Certified California Sustainable Vineyard for their numerous efforts to preserve the land for future generations while producing memorable, sustainable wines of outstanding quality.
Ferrari-Carano has always been a leading producer of world-class, nationally-acclaimed wines. Vintage after vintage, the wines exhibit a remarkable consistency of style and elegance.
Grapes for this 2015 Cab are mountain‐grown fruit from the Alexander Valley. The wine completes a total of 18 months barrel aging, allowing for the perfect balance of fruit, tannin and oak.
The Wine Advocate scored this 90 points saying "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is medium to deep garnet-purple colored and scented of crushed blueberries and black currants with hints of chocolate mints and garrigue plus a touch of pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm frame of grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing with good length."
