Folie a Deux 2013 Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma

Perhaps the first place to look for outstanding red Zin is Dry Creek Valley, a small but prime quality AVA in Sonoma with a warm climate and old vine plantings from the early Italian immigrants. The ocean fog rolls in in the morning, cooling down the warm temperatures and giving the grapes a much needed break from the California sun. When Trinchero bought Folie a Deux and decided to make it a Sonoma brand, they sourced top quality fruit from the best areas, which is just what we have in this wine. 90% Zinfandel and 10% Petite Sirah from prime vineyards in Dry Creek Valley are aged up to 18 months in French and American oak. The wine shows intense, juicy and jammy fruit.
