The Rialzi vineyard is located at an altitude of 500 metres above sealevel and beyond, laid out over three terraces with
alberese soils and asouth-western exposure. After careful work in the vineyard, the Sangiovese grapes were carefully
harvested by hand. Once they arrived in the cellar, they were subjected to afurther thorough selection process.
Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at acontrolled temperature, with skin maceration and gentle pumping over,
in order to ensure the best polyphenolic extraction. Subsequently, the wine was matured for 36 months, of which 24 were
spent in barriques. Only after further ageing in the bottle was the Rialzi Chianti Classico Gran Selezione ready to be
released on the market.

From the Frescobaldi family, the Tenuta Perano 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Rialzi reveals velvety richness and concentration with full-bodied texture. With fruit from the cool Gaiole in Chianti microclimate, and with white stones in the vineyard to reflect light, this wine offers both power and elegance. Sweet plum and dried fig cede to earthy notes and cured tobacco. Now, four years into the aging process, the wine shows some distant tertiary evolution. This 15,000-bottle release was made before the estate's new technological winery was refurbished.
