In its elegant bottle inspired by the times of French King Henri IV, Cuvée Rosé Laurent-Perrier soon made a name for itself and has become the most recognized rosé champagne in the world and is considered a benchmark for rosé champagne. The wine is made using nearly a dozen crus, most of them Grands Crus as well as special plots in the vineyards owned by Laurent-Perrier itself. 100% Pinot Noir, the grapes are selected for their perfect ripeness and manually sorted in Laurent-Perrier harvest stations, then destemmed to retain only the berries before they go into the maceration tanks. The maceration process lasts 48-72 hours after picking and extracts a delicate salmon pink color expressing the full aromatic breadth of the Pinot Noir grapes. After bottling the wine is aged a minimum of four year in bottle before release.
Decanter scored this 95 points saying "Ethereal floral and raspberry nose. A vinous palate with a mild mousse, the soft texture all wrapped in spice, nuts, smoke and a superior berry tincture. Very long and easy to enjoy."
Wine Enthusiast scored this 94 points saying "This great rosé combines texture with bright fruit and a bit of age. It is poised between a ripe dosage and a crisp texture, with red fruits and toastiness marking the flavors. It is a fine bottling to enjoy now."
Wine Spectator scored this 93 points saying "Fragrant wafts of smoke and spice accent the steeped raspberry and mandarin orange peel flavors of this tightly meshed rosé Champagne, which is backed by a vivid spine of mouthwatering acidity and is silky on the palate, with hints of dried herb, licorice and toasted almond playing on the finish. Drink now through 2025."
Wine & Spirits scored this 92 points saying "Intensely floral, this wine has a copper-pink color that’s reflected in the coppery and salty edge of its raspberry and mineral depths. It’s ripe, savory and clean, and hard to resist if there are duck rillettes nearby."
