At Midnight Cellars they take great pride in giving back to the land as they harvest in equal or greater amounts. They give the nutrients back to the soil by composting all grape and winemaking waste. Filtering instead of fining makes all of their wines Vegan!
For 23 years we have made our Estate Chardonnay using the same old world techniques taught to Rich Hartenberger by his mentors. Hand-picked from our Estate vineyard and whole cluster pressed, we passionately age in French oak barrels sur lie. A very uniquely clean, crisp style with traditional flavors of green apple, spice, and French vanilla mingling with a hint of ginger and balanced acidity. This wine sees 6 months in French Oak Barrels, with 15% new oak and only 640 cases were produced!
It received a 90 Pt Score from JS saying 'A clean and pure Chardonnay with a creamy edge to the lemon and pineapple characters. Quite fresh on the palate with a crunchy medium body and a pithy, medium-length finish.’
Wine Enthusiast said 'Pear flesh and honeysuckle aromas make for a ripe nose on this bottling. There's a pear skin texture to the palate, where tropical flavors of pineapple and coconut arise.'
