Started by Rombauer back in the 80's Napa Cellars is now owned by the Trinchero Family Estate. The fruit for this 2018 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc was selected from prime Rutherford and St. Helena vineyards in Napa Valley, where Sauvignon Blanc can ripen fully and obtain lush flavors.
The grapes arrived at the winery and were immediately destemmed and pressed. A cool fermentation in 100% stainless steel tanks followed, helping to preserve the quintessential Sauvignon Blanc fruit characteristics. It shows tropical fruit, grapefruit, kiwi, guava and blooming orange blossom. A crisp and refreshing balance that brings delicate flowery notes lingering on the finish.
James Suckling scored this 90 points saying "A white with sliced lemons and pears and notes of green apples and limes. Medium-to full-bodied, dry and flavorful. Crisp finish. Drink now. Screw cap."
