Nebbiolo D'alba 2011 Don Giovanni

Produced by Sordo Giovanni in Castiglione Falletto a few kilometers from Alba at the foot of the Barolo hill. This family business has been engaged in wine growing for over three generations. It was founded in the early 1900s by the present owners grandfather Giuseppe, but the real turnaround came when his father Giovanni acquired numerous vineyards in some of the finest areas of Barolo territory. The winery has the most modern wine-making and bottling equipment and an impressive ageing cellar which combines with traditional methods handed down through the years. Grapes for this wine are sourced from small growers in the region and the wine is fermented in stainless steel to retain the bright character of the Nebbiolo grapes. A super value!
