Nino Franco was founded in 1919 by Antonio Franco in Valdobbiadene. The winery is located at the foot of the Pre-Alps, in the Venetian region and proud to be one of the oldest wineries in Valdobbiadene. Known for their Glera vineyards and Prosecco wine production, the estate has been growing and evolving thoughout four generations of producers.
The estate boasts three exceptional vineyards; "Riva di San Floriano" is a steeply slopped vineyard that's an outcrop from the moutains of Valdoabbiadene, "Greve di Stecca" is a small wall-enclosed "clos" planted in 1992 with old vine clones and "Nodi" located within the small "Col Del Vent" vineyard. This windy hillside vineyard has very old vines with some over 100 years old.
Prosecco Rustico is Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG and by far their most popular wine. The charmat method gives it delicate effervescence and a creamy texture while the fruit expresses the terroir with white flowers, bartlett pear and crips apple flavors. It's ideal with hors d'ouvres and wonderful with seafood and other delicate dishes. dishes.
