Onslaught 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, Napa Valley

Onslaught Cabernet get's its name from the overwhelming demand that this wine has generated. The 5th generation winemakers that craft this Cab work with sustainably farmed fruit sourced from some of the best vineyards in Napa Valley. There's no manipulation, added enzymes or funny stuff. Fermentations are with native yeasts as natural as possible and aging is in French oak barrels. Knowing all of this, the demand was building for their latest release and when it finally came it was no less than an Onslaught!!

This is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 12 months in 50% new French oak barrels. Advanced Sommelier Martin Sheehan-Stross reviewed this wine and scored it a whopping 96 points saying "A wine driven by layered fruit, but loads of dusty minerality as well. Full-bodied with ripe tannins, the wine coats the palate while maintaining a freshness and deft balance on the finish." We're very excited to have grabbed a decent quantity at a very special price.
