Regina di Renieri 2015 IGT Toscana

Tenuta Renieri comprises just over 300 acres right in the Brunello di Montalcino zone, on slopes that face Monte Amiata. The single Regina Vineyard, where the grapes for this wine are sourced is just 7 acres at high elevation and it's planted with Syrah which responds incredibly well to the volcanic soils and warm microclimate. Proprietor Marco Bacci crafts only 2500 cases of this 100% Syrah aged 18 months in French oak barrels. 

James Suckling scored the barrel sample of this wine 95-96 points saying "What an excellent finish already to this beautiful and rich 2015! On the palate, it's full-bodied, tangy and chewy. Shows depth and length."
