About Renacer 2019 Malbec Reserva, Punto Final, Mendoza
Founded by Chilean business man Patricio Reich, with the collaboration of world-renowned winemaker Alberto Antonini, Bodega Renacer is a winery in Mendoza, Argentina with an ultra-modern facility featuring a medieval tower with state-of-the-art winemaking equipment. Vineyards used for Renacer’s bottlings are more than 50 years old and have very low yields. Renacer wines have received many plaudits and high scores over the years.
Alberto Antonini brings his considerable expertise to this unique project, creating a wine that is an Italian inspiration but pure Argentina in the bottle.
For this Reserva the grapes are hand picked with a double manual selection of both clusters and berries. Fermentation is in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts over 10-12 days. The wine aged in new French oak barrels for 10-12 months.
James Suckling scored this 90 points saying "Aromas of blackcurrants, violets, wild herbs and cocoa. It’s medium-to full-bodied with silky tannins. Succulent, juicy finish."
