Renieri 2015 Invetro, IGT Toscana

Renieri comprises just over 300 acres right in the Brunello di Montalcino zone, on slopes that face Monte Amiata. From his estate vineyards, proprietor Marco Bacci produces exciting, high scoring Brunellos and Super Tuscans every vintage. This delightful Tuscan red is his number one best value! It's a blend of 50% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet , 25% Merlot, aged 3 months in French Allier oak barrels.

This 2015 scored 94 points from James Suckling and was selected as one of his 100 Best Wines Under $30. He said "An exotic nose that drifts from dried red plums and redcurrants into blue-fruit territory such as blackberry pie and creme de cassis. Undertones of charcuterie and roasted chestnuts, too. Full body, compact tannins and a medium-chewy finish. Acid drive gives this form and tension. Great value. Drink in 2020. (Jan 2019) who said "This shows aromas of ripe plums with dark licorice.
