About Reserve Des Jacobins 2010 St. Emilion Grand Cru
Lying at the gateway to the mediaeval town among the very best terroirs in Saint-Emilion, the vineyard of Clos des Jacobins dates back to the 17th century. In honor of its prestigious past, château owner Cordier has brought the iconic “La Réserve des Jacobins” cuvée created in 1960 back to life. The bottle is an authentic reproduction of a famous bottle design used in the 20th century for this exceptional wine. This wine from the outstanding 2010 vintage, is enticing, rich and opulent, with a supple elegance and great volume. The garnet color echoes the wonderfully ripe fruit of the nose, with prominent notes of plum and cherry. On the palate the Réserve 2010 is full-bodied, silky, substantial and well-balanced. The long, fresh finish is underpinned by a delicious hint of blackberry jam.
