This is the wine from Louis Jadot's first venture outside France since their inception in 1859, made by famed Jadot Winemaker, Jacques Lardière with his 45 years of experience in making some of the greatest Pinot Noirs in the world. The Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from Résonance is sourced from both estate vineyards (Résonance and Découverte Vineyards) and top vineyards in the Willamette Valley. The wine showcases the absolute best of the Willamette Valley, and elegantly blends Maison Louis Jadot’s winemaking with the Willamette Valley’s signature terroir.
The growing season was especially warm and dry in 2016, giving perfect condition of maturity. The grapes were ripe and flavors well-developed. After fermentation the wine aged 13 months in 20% new French oak barrels.
The Wine Spectator scored this 93 points saying "Precise and impressively structured, with refined raspberry, crushed rock and savory tea accents that take on richness and depth toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2024."
and James Suckling also scored it 93 saying "This has a wealth of crushed roses and foresty sous-bois with spicy red fruit. The palate is all nicely arranged with a very juicy and succulent build of grainy tannins at the finish. Plenty of red cherries here. Drink or hold."
