Knowing all the finest points of grape varieties and terroirs, in 2010 Romain Duvernay creates the brand which bears his name, showcasing his talent equally with appellations from the north and the south of the Rhône Valley and this 2010 Gigondas is an excellent selection from his line up. 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre, it shows deep red color and a powerful and expressive nose of black fruits with a hint of spice followed by notes of wild strawberries and licorice.Velvety and full on the palate with silky and detectable tannins. A very well-balanced wine, all the more beautiful form extended bottle age.
