    About Seven Devils 2015 Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Carlton Cellars

    Dave Grooters has a prime estate vineyard with well-drained Wellsdale sedimentary soils located right between Tony Soter's and Ken Wright's vineyards in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA of Willamette Valley. All the grapes for this wine are from the estate vineyard and Dave, who learned his craft working for Ken Wright for many years, does the honors as winemaker. Mature ten year old vines, the grapes are all hand selected and the wine was aged in 100% French oak for 10 months. 2015 was yet another outstanding vintage in Oregon. Wine Business said "Once again, the Oregon wine industry experienced another extraordinary, nearly ideal growing season...The result was concentrated, balanced fruit throughout the state. This wine shows that beautifully with ripe strawberry and black raspberry notes balanced by polished tannins and a dusting of toasty oak. A real winning Pinot!
