"This bright and crisp white wine sings "Summertime." Anyone else ready for Chablis on the patio?" - Brittany Bittrich

The bright, tangy wines of Chablis are world famous for their quality and style. The white, chalky soil gives them their tart flintiness, and the Chardonnay grape gives them fruit and substance. This crisp, compelling Chablis is from a renowned producer. Simonnet-Febvre's wines have long been respected and enjoyed. Now that Masion Louis Latour has acquired the estate a new influx of investment and expertise brings this classic 100% Chardonnay wine to a new level of quality and character.
This wine is from the Premier Cru Vaillons vineyard. This vineyard is situated on the left bank of the Serein river and has an ideal south-westerly aspect. The soils of the left bank are less clay-like than those of the right bank. This wine is one of the most highly-rated left-bank Chablis. The vines average 35 years of age and the wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel including 12 months on the lees.
James Suckling scored this from barrel 90-91 saying "This is expressive with melon and pears, as well as a kumquat edge. The palate has a sunny, fleshy and smoothly round feel. Drink on release."
Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 92 points saying "Notes of Mirabelle plum, yellow and green pear convey vivacity on the nose of this wine. The palate adds tension and freshness, streamlining this into a mouthwatering, slightly textured body that has a clean, dry finish. This wine offers lots of energy, with a wonderfully pithy note."
