Sokol Blosser has been producing stellar Pinot Noir from their Dundee Hills vineyards for almost 50 years, planting their first vines in 1971. Today Sokol Blosser has survived, grown and prospered as a family-owned and run operation, and have been an important part of developing and shaping Oregon’s now prominent wine industry. Their estate has 89 vineyard acres all certified organic.
This is their Dundee Hills Estate Pinot Noir Rose. The clusters were de-stemmed and put into the press where the juice soaked on the skins for several hours. The fruit was then gently pressed to minimize extraction of tannins from the skins, and fermented in stainless steel to retain the bright Pinot Noir flavors.
This rose is bursting with fruit notes of peach and strawberry on the nose followed by hints of melon and rose petal. The palate is bright with refreshing berry notes, melon and clean acidity on the finish.
