As the name suggests, Precision Wine Co. wines are made to
showcase the complexity of flavor, diversity of terroir, and distinct
characteristics of California’s best appellations and wine regions. Proprietor
and vintner Trevor Sheehan brings focus and passion to every wine. His long-standing
relationships with top growers combine with meticulous winemaking practices
bring stellar results.
Most notably perhaps, the wines consistently over-deliver
for their price, just like this Knights Valley Chardonnay from the outstanding
2018 vintage. Sourced from a single vineyard of dry farmed Wente Clone
Chardonnay grapes. The dry farmed grapes are concentrated and intensely flavored. Fermented in stainless steel to retain the bright fruit
notes and aged in 80% new French oak for added complexity and richness.
The wine shows notes of toasted almonds, green apples and Asian
pears on the nose. Rich and creamy on the palate with flavors of apples and stone
fruit finishing with lingering notes of Meyer lemon and Crème brûlée. The
balance is striking as the bright acidity lifts the flavors and tingles your
palate. A delicious Chardonnay at any price but a steal at under $20!
