Hailing from the 99 Point near perfect 2018 vintage, this Reserve White Blend was a real diamond in the rough kind of find. The only problem with it, is that we just couldn’t find a heck of a lot of information as a closeout wine. But when we all tasted it, we all fell in love with the beautiful balance, the bright acidity, the rich and concentrated fruit, the gorgeous floral notes and the lengthy and mineral driven finish. It starts off on the nose and palate as one of those crisp and refreshing Summer sippers, but as it unfolds on the palate it turns more serious and a bit hearty, perfect for those cool Fall nights. Then we learned about the winemaker pedigree here, as it was produced by none other than Rudy Zuidema, and the light bulbs went off on why this was so fabulous! Truthfully, we really brought it in just so we could purchase it for ourselves! And we know that you will fall in love with it also at first sip…
This wine retailed for $35 at the winery when it was available. Which makes sense, as when we tasted it with members of our team everyone had this pegged in the $25-35 price range for a white blend of this quality and with this kind complexity and depth. So when we told them what we were going to be able to sell it for with the deal we made on this closeout vintage, everyone was ready to pick some up for themselves too.
