Here's a wine James Laube in the Wine Spectator called "An Exciting New Santa Barbara Red". Writing an entire piece about this collaboration between Importer, Napa Valley Vintner Alex Guarachi and celebrated Central Coast Vintner Joey Tensley, he went on to say "...exhibits a fresh, lively array of flavors, extending from ripe, juicy plum and black cherry to subtler dried herb, tar and rose petal. It's impressive too for its supple texture and length, which isn't a surprise once you consider the grape composition includes Merlot. It's a wine that combines power with finesse, charm and grace." A blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvédre, Petite Sirah & Merlot aged 10 months in 20% new oak. Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 2015 92 points saying "A project by Joey Tensley and Alex Guarachi, this is a whopper of a wine for the price tag. Black cherry, oregano, eucalyptus and dried sage show on the nose. The palate packs a mix of herbal seasonings, including anise and spearmint, alongside black cherry and baked blueberry fruit."
