A ridiculous value Barolo for Under $30! One of the marvels of this region is the “Terre del Barolo” winery in Castiglione Falletto, established amidst the vineyards that grow one of the world’s most illustrious wines: Barolo. A family of smallholders – because that is what each of its three hundred members has remained – living, farming and nourishing the land, while adding value to their enterprise with their own culture, history and customs. Every cluster tells the story of the miracle of the seasons, of the sun and the rain, of work that encompasses thousands of nuances. This is “Terre del Barolo”.
This Vinum Vita Est Barolo was rated 95 by Decanter and received (Gold Medal in the 2020 World Wine Awards! They said: 'Very attractive nose of ripe plums, dark cherries and dried roses. Quite rich, suave and concentrated, with fine-grained tannins and ample spice. Plenty of energy here, and will go the distance. Very long finish.'
James Suckling scored this wine 93 Points and raved: 'A red with plenty of cherry and berry character. Some watermelon and strawberry, too. Fresh and floral. Medium to full body, firm and chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. It’s bright and clean. Try after 2022.'
