About Trinchero 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, Mario's, Napa Valley
Mario's Cabernet Sauvignon is a tribute to Mario Trinchero, who came to the Napa Valley with his family in 1948 to realize the American dream. It is sourced from two estate vineyards situated on benchland soil in the heart of Napa Valley. Mario's Vineyard, a 13-acre vineyard surrounding the winery and the Central Park West Vineyard, a 22-acre vineyard with loamy soils and good sun exposure both in St. Helena. 2014 was an outstanding vintage and this Cab was aged 18 months in 70% new French oak barrels.
Decanter Magazine scored this 90 points saying "Supple and well structured, this 2015 shows an engaging core of black cherry, cassis and ripe raspberry complemented by accents of earth, cedar and dried herbs. A full-bodied Cabernet with well-integrated tannins that effortlessly transition to a smooth palate, revealing lovely concentration, toasty oak and ending in a polished, enduring finish. Drinking Window 2020 - 2027."
