Wine Advocate scored this 91 points and Wine Spectator scored it 92 points! Ripe, fresh and cherry flavored with hints of cola, and sage tea.
"Quality without compromise" is the motto of the Two Hands winery and by the incredible response their wines have gotten in the few years they've been in operation, it appears that they're living up to it. Raves from the likes of Harvey Steiman who said "Two Hands has become one of Australia's powerhouse producers." and Robert Parker who said "These fairly priced, brilliant offerings are full of character and personality." Grapes are sourced from South Australia's best growing regions as in the case of this Shiraz, all from the McLaren Vale. 100% Shiraz, grapes were crushed into and fermented in five, seven and 10 tonne open fermenters. The average time on skins was 16 days. The wine aged for 12 months in 6% new French puncheons and hogsheads and the remainder in one to six year old French and American oak. The final blend was unfined and unfiltered prior to bottling. The Wine Advocate scored this 91 points and Wine Spectator just scored this 92 points saying "Rich and fleshy, with ripe and round plum and cherry flavors, offering hints of cola, sage and green tea that linger on the finish. A fresh, juicy quality keeps everything in focus. Drink now through 2027."
