About Villa Antinori 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva
This is the wine that previously wore a gold label. It is Marchesi Antinori's newest Villa Antinori wine, orginally launched with the 2010 vintage. The all new, modern Antinori Chianti Classico Cellars in Bargino, is the place where this wine ferments and ages. This 2015 is perhaps the best vintage yet for this Riserva. It's a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot. The juice was gently pressed into small French and Hungarian oak barrels for 12 months of aging. It has an intense ruby red in color with fruit and spice aromas. Light touches from the oak aging underscore the cherry and red berry notes that are typical of the Sangiovese grape.
