About Whispering Angel 2018 Rose Cote de Provence, Caves D'Esclans
Sacha Lichine's Chateau in Provence is a mecca for the delicious rose wine that the region is famous for. The brilliant orange-hued pink color of this lively wine comes from a careful touch of skin contact as the free-run and press juices are blended together. Grapes are mainly Grenache, Cinsault and a bit of the white grape Rolle (Vermentino) for added pizzaz. Destemming and slight crushing, both the free run juice and pressed juices are vinified in stainless steel. Batonnage is twice weekly.
Wine Enthusiast Magazine said "This crisp wine is ripe with red berry fruits and gentle acidity. A warm style of wine, it is rounded with enough freshness to give it a bright character and a lively, food friendly aftertaste."
