The Clos Gaensbroennel is seven prestigious acres in the Grand Cru Kirchberg de Barr. The geology of this Clos is marl-limestone, a heavier soil, more difficult to cultivate but perfectly suited to the Gewurztraminer grape.
Awarded a Gold Medal in the Concours du Monde Competition, this wine is pale yellow with hints of gold, the complex nose is intense with floral notes of rose petal and white pepper. Hints of ripe tropical fruit are risch and concentrated on the palate and it has a lingering sweet finish.
