Here's an incredible find that truly showcases the talents of an extraordinary California vintner. As you know, Rutherford is an elite sub-region in Napa valley. Well once again Trevor Sheehan, whose winemaking skills are perhaps only matched by his ability to source exceptional fruit, has done just that, from a single, prime vineyard, this time, in the heart of Rutherford.
Applying his craft he vinified this lush, opulent wine, blending 10% Merlot and 10% Petite Verdot with 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and aging in 60% new French oak barrels for 15 months.
Wine & Spirits Magazine said "Aromas of brambly raspberry and lavender are layered with barrel notes of vanilla and toffee. Rich black plum and black cherry are at the forefront of a solid core of fruit that coats the palate, while an underlying note of mocha that compliments the bold, firm texture and full body."
