About Zaha 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, Toko Vyd., Uco Valley
A Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of 2021 selection, ZaHa means “Heart” in Mendoza's native Huarpe language. Grapes were sourced from a small lot in the Toko vineyard at 4000 feet, which has a rocky, limestone driven soil. Only natural yeasts were used and 10-20% whole clusters in the fermenters for a slow and gradual fermentation. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine was aged 14 months in French oak barrels.
